Serving as the Knorr-Bremse Chinese headquarters for the Commercial Vehicle Systems division since 2005, Knorr-Bremse Brake Equipment (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary that centrally conducts sales, marketing, engineering, purchasing, logistic and after-market activities for commercial vehicles systems in the China market. In 2013, the Technical Center China for Commercial Vehicle System was set up at Shanghai headquarter. In 2016, the company is officially renamed to Knorr-Bremse Commercial Vehicle Systems (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
